Swan Lake

Kitty emailed this to me the other day! We love swans! (Yes, I think you would have guessed that though- as its our logo!!!) Our inspiration came from a pair of swan pot plant holders we found at the Bondi Markets years ago, Kitty kept one and so did I. I consider my swan pot one of my most prized possessions which is funny because I don't think its work more than $10! Whats your most loved item?

Mother Nature

We are getting these delightful treats in this week! Yipeeee! I love the whimiscal feeling of these lace and wood brooches by States of Nature. This little label seems to be getting some buzz in the blogesphere. I was spying on her blog and found this Madonna vinyl cover piccy she created! Hilarious!
I think her brooches would look smashing on a my new winter coat. Yay for winter! These are the things I LOVE about winter: hot chocolate, scarves, tights, boots, you can wear the same classic coat everyday, umbrellas, non-frizzy hair, socks in bed, beanies, cuddles, rain on the roof, watching movies with a doona and generally feeling warm and fuzzy! Bring it on, I say!

I missed you, lots!

Hallelujah! We have been without Internet and it was killing me. No, really....I almost died without my daily in take of blogs, online magazine and general snooping! So everything is back to normal and now we have new super-fast Internet and its soooo comforting!

So much has happened! How was everyones Mother's Day?! I hope you spoiled your Mum rotten or you got spoilt yourself if you are lucky to be a mama! I had a delightful Mother's Day weekend! I spent Saturday learning how to decorate cupcakes (it was much harder than I thought it would be...) with my lovely boyfriends mum. I promise to post up my efforts! Then on Sunday I had a lovely yum cha brunch with my gorgeous mum and showered her with gifts from the shop. I gave my mum that Able and Game card...cute!

Last Friday we also had Window on Williams (which is still running at the moment!) For those who don't live in Perth here's the drill. This is our third event and you grab yourself a map from www.onwilliam.com.au/wow or from the shops along William St and visit all the stops on the map and collect your limited edition print by a Perth artist which also features a delicious recipe by a local musician. Its loads of fun and we tested out our recipe and made a delicious Pumpkin Pie! Yum! Thats a picture of the card you can collect from Lala Orange by artist Kate MacFarlene.

And lastly, we are soooo excited about this. Oh Mr. Nick Cave how we heart you!

Crusty Goodness!!!!

We just got these delightful goodies into the shop yesterday! Bless, they are cute! Uppercrust hails from Melbourne and has created a funny and quirky label. I think a brooch added to a lapel of a winter coat would bring a little cheer to a cold winters day!
P.S they are cheap as chips small ones start from $30! yeeeha!

Put your hand on your heart....

We hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day yesterday and got a kiss or a cuddle from someone special! We had another reason to celebrate yesterday it was Kitty Brites birthday so we popped down to Beck's Music Box to see Jose Gonzalez play. It was such a hot night, no breeze and really humid so our vintage outfits and our newly cut fringes stuck to our skin but we drank lots of gin and beer so everything was okay!

He was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. His version of Kylie Minogue's Put you Hand on your Heart was delightful! Kitty and I both decided we wouldn't mind having the job of the girl in Jose back up band she sat there and shook maraca and looked cute. We had a top night the only bummer was the constant stench of seafood in the still air which was coming from the food tent which we all decided was not so romantical.

P.S: Jose looked way cuter on stage maybe he should keep his shirt on but I thought it was an appropriate Valentine delight!
