When i was studying Fashion & Textiles at uni was obsessed with circles...my final collection consisted of circular textile prints and pattern shapes based on circles. I'm not really sure why I had a love for everything round but I think Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama shares my love! She calls herself a 'obsessive artist' and she seriously is an amazing lady and artist.

Her point of view actually boggles my mind...I heart her and her super cute coloured hair and I really want one of those pumpkins!

So I have been watching a bunch on fashion related movies over the last couple of days and its been inspiring I must say! I watched the 1996 documentary Catwalk which follows around model Christy Turlington. It was light-hearted and fun to see all the young supermodels and designers! I am in love with designer Isaac Mizrahi- so funny! I liked this doco but didn't love it!

However today I finished watching the documentary Marc Jacobs & Louis Vuitton which I LOVED! Apparently he never lets anyone ever film him so this was quite interesting and candid. He is also soooo super cute and easy on the eye! He is so young, so New York and so super cool! If you haven't seen this you should!

Next on my list is Pret-a-Porter which I haven't seen for years! If you have a must-see fashion film let me know!!!

So I have been talking about getting a tattoo for a long time and I pretty sure 2010 is the year I'll be getting it done! Yay! I have a few I want to get but I might start out with getting a birdy on my arm! I totally heart this but I'm pretty sure its done with fineliner...haha!

I am thinking something larger and has reference to a bluebird brooch my grandma gave my mum on her 5th birthday and now I have it! But nothing too rockabilly....

Now I just need an artist to draw whats in my mind!

Hope your new years was fun...ours definitely was! We partied a little too much and spent the first day of 2010 feeling sorry for ourselves, however it was completely worth it and was a great night with friends! We started a little tradition last year by having a little rhyming motto for the year (last year it was 2009 is going to be fine because 2008 was not so great!) and this year we have come up with:

"2010 beginning again"
"2010 is raining men"
and my personal favourite " 2010 be my friend!"
