Collaboration Kudos

Directors are really getting in to fashion this season, first Tim Burton now Spike Jonze! In collaboration with Opening Ceremony they have come up with a collection based on his new film Where The Wild Things Are. And as you may know we are pretty excited about that film here at Lala Orange. Personally I love a bit of cheese especially when it is done well and I rate this collection haha.

Keep Your Pants On

Haha these are too funny, I want the gold one but knowing me the plant wouldn't last too long. They are made by Matteo Cibic's handcrafted in an Italian village so no two are the same, they have been labeled the Tamagotchi of the office worker!

Money Bags

We like art and we like accessories and the lovely people at Poketo have created these super-cool wallets so we can enjoy both things at once! Lucky us! We actually have Catherine Campbells prints in store so when we stumbled across these wallets we were like we gotta get them for the shop! They actually did an Australian Series which feature the lovely works by artists from all over Australia including Eveline Tarunadjaja (we have her calendas in store, too!-holy moly-Poketo is made for Lala!), Fontaine Anderson and many more!

They also had cute mugs which we ordered too! Kitty was telling me the other day about how much she wants a mug for her office well now we can both have one- the hard part is choosing! (but I think the Swan one is pretty damn sweet!)

Smitten-Mitten

I was snooping round the lovely Chasing Lou blog this afternoon (as I am waiting for cocktail hour to arrive!) and discovered these outrageous but totally super-cool gloves by designer Anna-Sara Davik. And now I want to make a pair because I'm pretty sure they would cost an arm and a leg (and maybe a hand too...haha). I'm thinking I might find a pair of vintage gloves and get crafty. Man, my DIY list is growing v. v. long....

Don't you think they would look smashing whilst drinking my Friday night cocktail? On that note-have a lovely weekend!

POM-egranate

So I have discovered my new fave designer inspiration for Winter! And I am thinking some DIY and craft days are going to have to be a must! I was scrolling though some pics on Style.com and discovered Ashish a UK label run by designer Ashish Gupta and boy does he love colour, fun and all things printed! I really like pom-poms and we have ordered these really great scarves for winter which are plaited with pom-poms on the ends-so cute and can't wait till its cold and chilly and time to get all rugged up! I really LOVE that pom jumper super fun!

For one of our windows a few months ago, Kitty made all these pom-poms out of old vintage fabric and hung them in the window! They were so cute and once again she is spot on with the trend thing again!
