Food for Thought

So all my hater comments about the state of the Perth restaurant scene were shown as home truths with the release of the Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Awards. With only 4 Perth restaurants making it into the top 100 in Australia! How do I like them apples? Not one bit, lift your game Perth!!! I have actually been to a great Tapas restaurant Pata Negra recently though and of course it is opened by the chef at Star Anise, one of the 4 restaurants chosen!

They are soooo cool, my old house mate and I became obsessed with the animal printed keys that you can get. Because I had keys for the house, shop and studio all I had to remember was which animal was which place it was perfect, but I think these keys from Stat Icon Keys top those and I want them!!

Shape Shifting

I was in Singapore recently and went to this great roof top bar that had a whole range of different shadow puppets posted on the walls (after a few cocktails we tried unsuccessfully to recreate them) The humble shadow puppet must be back in Vogue as my friend P. sent me this great swan one she found in research for a fashion shoot she is doing!

We went and saw "The September Issue" yesterday and by far the star of the film was Grace Coddington, creative director at Vogue. She well and truely stole Anna Wintours thunder and her talent is pretty inspiring.

So excited for the 14th September when the 3rd season of Gossip Girl airs in the US!! This is an upcoming feature in Elle on Gossip Girl, oh Ed! I'm hoping the series doen't fail in the transition to college like so may before them.

The Last Goodbye

It looks like they are finally creating films that hark days to great films of the 80's such as The Dark Crystal that were inspiring and imaginative! I wasn't the biggest Heath Ledger fan but he did have a nack for choosing great films and this seems to be one of them.

So I have just finished watching the 2nd season of Weeds again and had totally forgotten that Zooey Deschanel was in it and how much I looove her (girl crush). So I was wondering what she had been up to lately and this is what everyone from Sundance is raving about, looks like it has a release date of 17th September in Australia yay.
