So I have discovered my new fave designer inspiration for Winter! And I am thinking some DIY and craft days are going to have to be a must! I was scrolling though some pics on Style.com and discovered Ashish a UK label run by designer Ashish Gupta and boy does he love colour, fun and all things printed! I really like pom-poms and we have ordered these really great scarves for winter which are plaited with pom-poms on the ends-so cute and can't wait till its cold and chilly and time to get all rugged up! I really LOVE that pom jumper super fun!
For one of our windows a few months ago, Kitty made all these pom-poms out of old vintage fabric and hung them in the window! They were so cute and once again she is spot on with the trend thing again!
Pom Poms are so last season!
ReplyDeleteI completely disagree I think it's in for this winter which is like 2 months away!
ReplyDeleteWhat would you say if I told you LinPin had multi-colored pom poms in last winters collection...? Guess who...? x
ReplyDeleteI agree Pom Poms are in, but they were in last year too. Think romance was born, bjork, walter b, etc. Although Diane Von Furstenberg's newest collection has pom pom accessories so maybe the Americans are just one season behind europe and australia! And Ashish has been diving into walter b's dressup box for inspiration?
ReplyDeleteYay pom poms! I do agree that maybe they have been around for a few seasons (I think I 1st saw them at Mercibeacoup's Winter 2006 collection, a Japanese label) but even with all this runway action I still haven't seen many people actually work them. I hope you girls up in Perth rock them this Winter, can't wait to see it.
ReplyDeleteI agree hayley + singstyle, they may have been 'in' on the 'catwalk'a few seasons ago but I think only recently have they become fashionable on the street! I think people will be rocking them this winter in a more commercial sense-eg on scarves, hats and legging!!!
ReplyDeleteHe he, who cares if pom-poms are in or out or in the middle: they are so brilliant! I'm having a pom-pom craze right now, as you can see on my blog...
